Electronic Real Estate Transfer Return Web Services

On September 20, 2009 DOR released two Web Services. The Web Services are designed for volume submitters that have proprietary or third-party client software capable of formatting and submitting real estate transfer return data from their respective databases. The first service eliminates the need to manually enter data through the DOR Real Estate Transfer Return eRETR - Filing Application. The second service provides the submitter the DOR eReceipt portion of the recording package sent to the Register of Deeds with the Deed and payment of fees.

New Web Services:

    1. Submit a Real Estate Transfer Return to DOR.
Download this document for a complete description of this service.
    2. Request a Real Estate Transfer Return eReceipt URL by Receipt Number.
Download this document for a complete description of this service.

To use these new web services customers must first obtain a Wisconsin User ID online. After you have your account, please visit the eRETR Web Services page and sign up as a Trusted Web Service User.

DOR offers sample client software written in Java that will enable the services listed above for all approved customers. To request a copy of the sample Java client or more information please contact DOR by email at: eretr@revenue.wi.gov
