TeleFile allows Wisconsin business owners to file and pay sales and use tax using a touch-tone phone. Telefile is fast, free, and available anytime except Sundays from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m.

Complete the following information to print the TeleFile worksheet and payment voucher:



Enter your 15-digit account number without dashes. Account numbers must start with 456.


Select the ending month of the desired period. Quarterly filers select the last mon​th of the quarter and annual filers select the last month of the fiscal year.


Select the year of the desired period.







Verify account and print voucher.

Steps on filing and paying sales and use tax with TeleFile:

  1. Call TeleFile using a touch-tone phone:
    • (608) 261-5340 (Madison)
    • (414) 227-3895 (Milwaukee)
  2. Enter total amounts including cents and press the # (pound) key. Do not enter decimal points. For negative numbers, press the * (star) key first.
  3. Confirm your entries are correct when prompted
  4. Change incorrect entries before going to the next line, otherwise you will need to hang up and start over
  5. Write the calculated amounts in the shaded areas on the worksheet when prompted
  6. Follow the instructions to pay, submit, and file
  7. Write your confirmation number on the worksheet
  8. Make your payment on time if tax is due
