The Wisconsin Department of Revenue (DOR) posted the 2020 Expenditure Restraint Program (ERP) Worksheet in My DOR Government Account (MyDORGov). Notifications were sent directly to the
463 municipalities that are eligible to electronically file (e-file) the 2020 ERP Worksheet.
General Information
- Municipalities are eligible to e-file if your municipal-only 2019 property tax rate exceeds five mills
- Form is available in
MyDORGov

Due date – May 1, 2020
- Only eligible municipalities can access the 2020 ERP Worksheet
- Municipalities that do not file by May 1, 2020 are not eligible to receive a 2021 ERP payment

New! – Sec. A, Line 8 – you may subtract general fund expenditures for insurance premium payments made under secs.
66.0137(5)(c)1 and
1m, Wis. Stats., for hospital, surgical and other health insurance for the surviving spouse(s) and dependent(s) of law enforcement officers, emergency medical service practitioners and firefighters who died in the line of duty

Amended Budgets – If your municipality must amend its budget, you must:
- E-file timely by May 1, 2020 with current budget information
- Submit an amended ERP Worksheet with your amended budget information by July 1, 2020
