The U.S. Department of the Treasury (Treasury) recently released the following guidance for the American Rescue Plan Act – Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (SLFRF) program. The Wisconsin Department of Revenue is currently reviewing this information to continue to be a resource for Wisconsin local governments.
Final Rule
Reporting
- Each non-entitlement unit of local government (NEU –
typically municipalities with a population less than 50,000) must submit a Project and Expenditure Report by April 30, 2022 and then annually thereafter

Compliance and reporting guidance – provides detail and clarification for each recipient's compliance and reporting responsibilities under the SLFRF program

Agreements and supporting documents user guide – provides instruction for NEUs on using Treasury's portal to submit the required information
